The Invitation

Invited to heaven we are,

but by heavens we are so far.

To the skies we cry,

and to ground we pound,

making a scene

but never a sound.

In the world of the lost,

It’s heaven that must bear the cost.

How’s a crucifixion for an invitation?

It took the worst

to save the worst.

Indeed, His last breath was our first.

If this found you, let the next one find you too.
