9 Years of Marriage

9 years today, babe.

so much for me to say

i didn’t know what I was doing

i didn’t know who I was becoming

i didn’t know where this was going

but I didn’t need to

because I had you.

first at FBC

then after my recovery

both times I saw the same jewel

but each a different facet;

one a heart of gold (I was sold)

the other proving no accident

that your soul’s beyond beautiful.

where’s the will comparable to yours?

a will to fight;

a will to keep;

a will to hold;

and a will to be

absolutely everything to me.

that I could share one day with you;

that I could experience your love so rich;

that I could actually have you and someday not;

it’s all too outstanding,

too precious,

and very much frightening.

the hard truth––

oh, the truth of it all––

my debt to you is mighty;

my longing for you unending;

and my life with you utterly satisfying.

this will never be changing,

only growing:

Together

You

And

Me

Forever.

Happy 9th anniversary,

my dear Chelsea.

always yours,

cameron

xoxo
